കെവികെയിൽ അഞ്ച് വിളകളിൽ (വെള്ളക്കടല, കപ്പലണ്ടി, പരിപ്പ്, ഗോതമ്പ്, കടുക്) ഇഫ്കോ നാനോ ഡിഎപി പരീക്ഷണാടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ പ്രയോഗിക്കുന്ന രണ്ടാം സീസണാണിത്. നാനോ ഡിഎപി ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ട്രീറ്റ് ചെയ്ത വെള്ളക്കടലച്ചെടികളുടെ വേരിലെ മുഴകൾക്ക്(nodules) കൺട്രോൾ വിഭാഗത്തിലെ ചെടികളുടേതിനെക്കാൾ വലിപ്പവും എണ്ണവും കൂടുതലായിരുന്നു. നാനോ ഡിഎപി ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ട്രീറ്റ് ചെയ്ത ചെടികളിൽ പ്രാഥമിക, ദ്വിതീയ, തൃതീയ വേരുവളർച്ചയും മെച്ചപ്പെട്ടതാണ്.
ഞാൻ ഒരു ഗോതമ്പ് കർഷകനാണ്. ഡിസംബർ 1-ന് ഗോതമ്പ് വിതയ്ക്കാനായി എന്റെ നിലം ഒരുക്കി. നെൽകൃഷിയുടെ സീസണിൽത്തന്നെ നാനോ വളങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് ഞാൻ അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. അതിനാൽ ഗോതമ്പ് സീസണിൽ ഞാൻ നാനോ ഡിഎപി പ്രയോഗിച്ചു. ഞാൻ പരമ്പരാഗത ഡിഎപി രീതിയും നാനോ ഡിഎപി രീതിയും പിന്തുടർന്നു. എന്റെ മുൻകാല കൃഷിരീതികളും ഡിഎപി ലിക്വിഡ് (നാനോ ഡിഎപി) സമ്പ്രദായവും തമ്മിൽ ഇപ്പോഴെനിക്ക് പ്രകടമായ വ്യത്യാസം കാണാൻ സാധിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.
ഞാൻ രണ്ട് പ്ലോട്ടുകളിൽ നാനോ ഡിഎപി ഉപയോഗിച്ച് നെൽകൃഷി ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഒരു പ്ലോട്ടിൽ ഞാൻ 100% പരമ്പരാഗത ഡിഎപി ഉപയോഗിച്ചു. മറ്റേ പ്ലോട്ടിൽ, ഞാറുകൾ ഒരു ലിറ്റർ വെള്ളത്തിന് 2 മില്ലി എന്ന കണക്കിൽ നാനോ ഡിഎപിയും 50% പരമ്പരാഗത ഡിഎപിയും ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ട്രീറ്റ്മെന്റ് ചെയ്തതിനു ശേഷം പറിച്ചുനട്ടു. ശേഷം ഒരു തവണ ഒരു ലിറ്റർ വെള്ളത്തിന് 4 മില്ലി എന്ന കണക്കിൽ നാനോ ഡിഎപി ലായനി ഉണ്ടാക്കി ഇലകളിൽ പ്രയോഗിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
'ഞാന്‍ നാനോ യൂറിയ ചോളം, പേരക്ക കൃഷിയില്‍ സ്‌പ്രേ ചെയ്ത് നോക്കിയിട്ടുള്ളതാണ്. എനിക്ക് നല്ല ഫലം കിട്ടി. ഞാന്‍ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞത് ഒരു കുപ്പി നാനോ യൂറിയ 45 കിലോഗ്രാം ചാക്കിന് സമം ആണ്. ഒന്ന് രണ്ടു ഏക്കര്‍ സ്ഥലമുള്ള ചെറുകിട കര്‍ഷകര്‍, സ്‌പ്രേയര്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് നാനോ യൂറിയ സ്‌പ്രേ ചെയ്യാം പക്ഷേ 300 ഏക്കര്‍ ഒക്കെ കൃഷിയുള്ള വന്‍കിട കര്‍ഷകര്‍ ഡ്രോണുകള്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് സ്‌പ്രേ ചെയ്യാവുന്നതാണ്.
