Nano DAP
IFFCO Nano DAP is a nanotechnology based revolutionary agri input which provides nitrogen and phosphorous to plants. Nano DAP is a sustainable option for farmers towards smart agriculture and to combat climate change. Nano DAP is bio available to plants because of its desirable particle size (<100 nm), more surface area and more particles per DAP prill.
Application of Nano DAP liquid as seed or root treatment followed by one to two foliar sprays at critical growth stages can result in 50-75% reduction of conventional DAP application to crops.
Note: Dose and quantity of Nano DAP (Liquid)depends upon the seed size, weight and type of crop
We can observe that the crop sprayed with Nano DAP replacing upto 50% conventional DAP and Nano DAP seed treated have better root development and crop growth.
I wanted to try Nano DAP and wanted to see the difference between the Conventional DAP and Nano DAP application in my plot and did the same my dividing my plot. Now, I find obvious difference in both and the crop plot in which Nano DAP has been used has shown better progress.
I have observed better crop growth (in terms of tillers and height) when treated seeds and sprayed with Nano DAP when compared to conventional fertiliser (without using Nano DAP).
I have not used conventional DAP in my field and started using Nano DAP for seed treatment and sprayed it twice. The results of Nano DAP on my crops is very good and I can see that my crops have better growth.
This is the second season of IFFCO Nano DAP trial in KVK in 5 crops (chickpea, pea, lentil, wheat and mustard). Root nodules in Nano DAP treated chick pea plants were large in size and number as compared to the control one. Primary, secondary and tertiary root development in plants treated with Nano DAP is also better. Hence trials at KVK proves that crops perform better when seeds once treated with Nano DAP followed by 2 foliar sprays.
I am a wheat grower and prepared my field for sowing of wheat on dec 1st. I knew about Nano fertilizers since rice growing season so during wheat season, I had applied Nano DAP. I followed both the conventional DAP practice and Nano DAP. Today I feel remarkable difference between my earlier cultivation practice and DAP liquid (Nano DAP) practice. As you can see my crop is well established and lush green so now, I believe that we should adapt Nano fertilizers in farming whether its Nano Urea or Nano DAP and I will encourage others too.
I am doing paddy cultivation using Nano DAP in 2 plots. In one of the plots, I used 100% conventional DAP and, in another plot, seedlings were transplanted after treatment with Nano DAP @ 2 ml/lit of water and with 50% conventional DAP followed by 1 foliar spray of Nano DAP @ 4 ml/lit. As can be seen that Nano DAP plots have better tillering and greenness than the conventional DAP plots and thus better than the conventional ones.
Moving to Delhi during this second half of the week, and today we had the pleasure of meeting Anil Kumar Gupta and the amazing team at IFFCO LTD.
Anil and team, now it’s our turn to thank you: for your warm hospitality earlier today, for your partnership, for the opportunity to be part of your incredible journey. All of us at #Oracle are so inspired by your mission and what we are achieving together. The impact you’ve made with Nano Urea, the revolutionary agri-input product you’ve brought to Indian farming, has been truly transformative in such a short space of time. You are bringing smart agriculture to India in a way that is sustainable for farmers, helps combat climate change, and directly involves and empowers Indian women and farming communities across the country – this is so inspiring to see.
The power of data is right at the heart of your mission, and for us it’s a privilege to be able to bring the resources of Oracle and the power of #OracleCloud to help scale and accelerate your innovation, and help push this mission forward. I am looking forward to the next stage of our journey together. There’s so much more to come – we are only just getting started. Onwards! #customersuccess
Nano DAP (Liquid) is a novel Nano fertiliser notified under FCO (1985), Govt. of India on 2nd March 2023. Nano DAP formulation contains Nitrogen (8.0% N w/v) and Phosphorus (16.0 % P2O5 w/v)
If rains occur within 12 hours of foliar application it is recommended to repeat the spray
No, Nano DAP (liquid) is recommended for application only as seed treatment and foliar spray at critical growth stages of crops.
Rs. 600 per bottle (500 ml); It is cheaper than conventional DAP.
